 HYDRAULIC WOMAN: BIO

Kristen Schuldt’s gutsy, soulful voice is known as one of the best in the Midwest. In addition to writing and recording her own music, she has hosted open jams in the Twin Cities for decades and has provided studio vocals for numerous bands in and around Minnesota. This dynamic songsmith has been fronting bands since the early 90's, including Hydraulic Woman, The Great Northern, Hotel Blue, Rooms on Fire, Not Quite Dead, Hotel Blue, Legends, The Search, and The Rehabs. Crossing all the lines between blues, rock, and country, Kristen belts it out with power and grace. Fans of Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Susan Tedeschi, Sheryl Crow, and Etta James will fall in love with Hydraulic Woman.

HYDRAULIC WOMAN: REVIEWS

"...A commanding blend of rock, blues, acoustic and electric. Kristen's vocals are a   spectrum of highs and lows, power and grace; she can sing with a hard edge or a sweet, smooth flow. Kristen’s songs capture a variety of moods...energetic and filled with raw emotion...expressive vocals that have a sugary edge. Hydraulic Woman raises the bar." - kweevak.com

"Kristen Schuldt has a rich bluesy voice and writes some really interesting songs. She has a lot of talent in both areas. I would go see her live in a heartbeat. She can really belt the blues with a very natural/fluid feel....makes me look forward to what this very talented woman will do next." - Stacey Board, musesmuse.com

"Kristen can REALLY sing!" - Joel Johnson, KFAI Radio
