Thanks to everyone
who helped out on the "Ouija Park" CD! I wish I could
mind-meld with you so you could see how grateful I am....or translate
my feelings into dollars or pesos. Instead, I will type your names
here and hope that you read this sometime. Big smooches to:
Tom Hager (drums,
belly laughs)
Scott Olson (bass, drums, mood lighting)
Blaine Prout (guitar, daily perspective)
Dana Isaacs (bass, space, safety)
Duane Alfveby (sax, muscles, attitude)
Craig Fawver (harmonica, happy hour, last minute "Ass"
tracks)
Charley Dush (engineering, production, guitar, East side humor)
Mike Lang (congas, rides, ego strokes)
Brad Olson (back up vocals, adventures)
Tom Patsy (guitar, work ethic)
Buzz Bauman (CD
artwork)
Bob Cain (mastering)
Jeremy Odegard (promo artwork)
There are a
few others who deserve to be acknowledged. They've been tolerant
and supportive and so very understanding of the consuming mistress
that music can be. Love and thanks to Cindy, Ann, Sandy, Julie,
Cathleen, Liz, Tammy, Janet, Kathy, Jeanette, and Kelly for your
partnership on this crazy ride!

Crazy how fast
time can fly by when you're having fun.....the band is playing
regularly at Willie's Hidden Harbor, which is also where we are
planning to have a CD release party in spring of 2006. We had
a great run at the Station 4 bar in St Paul, where Hydraulic Woman
& friends hosted a weekly open jam and met tons of talented
songwriters and musicians from the Twin Cities.
For all you
trivia lovers, Ouija Park was a high school hangout on the east
side of St Paul. Although it has been paved over and turned into
a Park & Ride, Harding High School alumni can still be found
there drinking beer and listening to Rush "2112"!!!
Thanks to the
band AND all of our thirsty supporters for keeping the fun on
tap. We are taking a month off and will be back on stage with
a vengeance after February. See you then!

Greetings!
BIG THANKS
to everyone who has come out, voted, promoted, and supported Hydraulic
Woman. You're the reason I ditched the stage fright and started
performing in the first place. There's been lots of fun gigs lately
and I'm also working on a new batch of songs for CD #2.
On to the shameless
self-promotion ... "Glad Game" was voted one of the top CDs of
the year by KWEEVAK.COM,
as well as top 25 in the Viewers Choice Awards. Thanks again voters!
I recently
left the Friday night jam at Winners Bar, and with lots of mixed
emotions. Shall I quote Glenn Close from The Big Chill? "I was
at my best with you people." Well, anyone who was there knows
that's a bit tongue-in-cheek, but we sure had lots of fun. I met
so many great friends and musicians, formed a new band, learned
a zillion songs, and truly experienced some magical moments. Stan
has written in to ask:
Dear Hydraulic
Woman,
What's your
favorite memory from hosting the jam at Winners?
Stan
Dear Stan,
I'll never
forget meeting Buck and thinking he was Eric Clapton ... Willy
the bass player who kept showing up with a mandolin ... the six-part
harmonies ... singin' the blues with DuRathee ... the drummer
auditions ... Tom and Dave ... the Tiny Tim impersonator ... Peggy
my favorite bartender (SISTA!) ... all the great singer/songwriters
baring their souls who got drowned out by drunk percussion players
... John "Cave Music" Knowles giving my guitar back with blood
all over it ... Carl's inflatable doll song ... Terry the Reluctant
Jammer ... Bluesman Bob and Young Eric rippin' it up ... Duane,
the best sax I've ever had ... and of course Ed "the Doctor" who
would help us tear down every night but occasionally dropped stuff
like speakers and amps. I had such a blast guys. Thank
you for reminding me what it's really about.
